Experience
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University/San Diego, and attended Tufts University in Boston for some graduate chemistry courses. As a graduate student, I led undergraduate review sessions in chemistry at Tufts, and later worked as a private tutor in Colorado Springs. At the present time, I teach science to high school students, which I have been doing for the past 3 years. I have also taught grades 7 and 8, and can work with any age group. I have an extensive background in science and teaching science, but I am also available to teach other courses, including algebra 1, algebra 2, middle school math, study skills and organization, pre-algebra, and German, among others. I really enjoy working with individual students, and watching them progress when they get the help that they need. I try to make learning fun and rewarding. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy teaching Zumba, reading, taking a hike, running, or going skiing. I really enjoy living in Colorado and taking part in outdoor activities.
