Experience
Hi I'm Kelly. I just moved to Colorado in November from Southern California. I am looking into becoming a teacher here, so I would love to do some tutoring in the meantime. For the past three years I have worked as an Associate Project Manager for an environmental consulting firm. Previous to that I worked for the City of Anaheim as a park planner. I have several years of experience working with kids of all ages. I have tutored all subjects for grades K-5, and have also been an English tutor for middle school kids. I've been a cheerleading coach for girls (and boys!) ages 7-15. I have also done applied behavior therapy with autistic kids ages 2-7. I would be happy to tutor your child in any number of subjects: reading and comprehension; English, grammar & writing; study skills; college prep; basic math; statistics & research methods; social studies; history; civics & political science; psychology; sociology; and geography, to name a few. If you're interested in something I haven't listed, don't hesitate to ask! I like to take the time to get to know the child and understand his/her learning style. I can easily adapt my method of tutoring based on your child's learning style and needs. I'm a creative person and I'm not afraid to try unconventional teaching methods. I know it helps me to get outside and go for a walk if I feel unmotivated or have a writing block! So go ahead and contact me and let's see what we can accomplish!
